Veteran Bridge Solutions
Privacy notice
This notice explains what Veteran Bridge Solutions (VBS) collects when you apply through our candidate intake form, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep this plain on purpose.
Who we are
Veteran Bridge Solutions is a veteran-owned firm based in Ephraim, Wisconsin. We build veteran hiring pipelines for employers. When you apply through us, we act as the recruiter and we share your information with a prospective employer only at the right stage, described below.
What we collect
We collect what you give us on the form. That includes your name and contact details, your state, the career areas you're interested in, your seniority, your availability and whether you'd relocate, and how you heard about us, including a referral name if you add one. On the service side we collect your branch, military role, rank, years of service, and status, plus optional details like a security clearance level and any schools, quals, or certifications. You can also add free-text notes.
We don't ask for your Social Security number or date of birth on this form, and we don't run background checks at this stage. If you reach the offer stage with an employer, that employer handles those steps under their own process and their own privacy terms.
Voluntary self-identification
The form includes optional questions about protected veteran and disability status. Answering is entirely your choice, and you can decline any question. This information is stored separately from your application, isn't shown to anyone screening candidates, and plays no part in whether you move forward. We keep it only to support equal opportunity practices.
Why we collect it
We use your information to consider you for roles, to contact you about them, and to match you to openings as they come up. We act on the consent you give when you submit the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the contact below.
How we use automated tools
We use a third-party AI provider to help summarize and organize your application so our team can review it quickly. The assistant only helps prepare information for a person to read. It doesn't decide anything, and it never sees your voluntary self-identification answers. A member of our team makes every decision about whether you move forward. If an automated step ever affected a decision about you, you can ask us about it and ask for a person to review it.
The form also includes an optional "translate my experience" feature. When you choose to use it, we send your service details (your branch, military role, rank, and years of service) to the same AI provider to generate a plain-language read of how a civilian employer might view your background, and we show that read to you on the screen. We don't store that read, and we don't send your name or contact information with it.
Who we share it with
- The prospective employer, once you're a serious candidate for a specific role. We tell you who the employer is at that point.
- Service providers that run this system on our behalf, namely our hosting, database, email, and AI providers, who process the data only to keep the service running.
If you opt in to updates, we add your name and email to our email provider so we can send you benefit alerts, program news, and roles. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep you in our talent community until you ask us to remove you. You can make that request at any time using the contact below, and we'll remove your information.
How we protect it
Your information travels over an encrypted connection and is stored in a database that's encrypted at rest, with access limited to VBS. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to guard your data and we limit what we collect to lower the risk.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including in California. We honor those requests and won't treat you differently for making one.
